PDaniel Janke is a composer who also plays contemporary jazz and improvised piano. He is based out of his studio in Whitehorse, Yukon, and works regularly in Berlin, Germany as well as in parts of France. Daniel’s piano style is heavily influenced by an upbringing in gospel music. Compositionally, his work is eclectic, moving across many genres and styles. Influences in the jazz genre include Wayne Shorter, Carla Bley, and Craig Taborn.
