Vocalist Saba Amrei brings a refined and heartfelt jazz sensibility to every performance, drawing deep inspiration from the timeless phrasing of singers like Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, and Ella Fitzgerald. Her approach to jazz singing is rooted in storytelling and nuance, with a rich tone and intuitive sense of swing that honours the tradition while engaging listeners with sincerity. She is joined by Brad Turner on piano, a renowned Vancouver jazz figure, multi-instrumentalist, composer and longtime educator whose distinguished career includes multiple JUNO Awards and decades of performance and teaching in the jazz community; Conrad Good on bass, who brings a deeply melodic and supportive approach to the instrument, marked by a resonant tone and a strong sense of space. and Jamison Ko on drums, a longtime collaborator whose rhythmic rapport with Saba gives the group a communicative and cohesive swing. Together, they deliver a thoughtful, engaging set rooted in the jazz standard tradition.
