FROM TORONTO: MAUREEN KENNEDY

Toronto-based jazz singer Maureen Kennedy is returning to Frankie's for another Sunday gig. She is excited to sing again with two of Vancouver's most talented players, guitarist Bill Coon and bassist Conrad Good.

Maureen is known for her extensive repertoire, which includes many rarely performed gems. In terms of singers, she is inspired by stylists like Helen Merrill, Chris Connor, Carmen McRae and Irene Kral.

Her two recordings, This Is Always, and Out of the Shadows, has received widespread radio play in Canada and the United States.
