MAUREEN KENNEDY

Toronto-based jazz singer Maureen Kennedy has cultivated an extensive repertoire of memorable standards and rediscovered gems that compliment her very personal sound. In terms of singers, she is inspired by stylists like Helen Merrill, Chris Connor, Carmen McRae and Irene Kral. Through the years, Ms. Kennedy has performed at numerous venues and arts events in and around the city of Toronto with many of Canada’s accomplished jazz players. Her two recordings, “This Is Always", and "Out of the Shadows”, received widespread radio play in Canada and the United States. She is looking forward to returning to Frankie's to sing with saxophonist Cory Weeds, guitarist Bill Coon, and bassist Conrad Good.
