As the jazz world celebrates the centennials of many legendary figures, it's worth remembering that some of the music's most enduring contributions came from artists whose names may not always receive the same spotlight. Brother Jack McDuff is one of those giants.

A pioneer of the Hammond B-3 organ and a defining voice in soul jazz, McDuff helped shape the sound of modern organ jazz through his infectious grooves, blues-drenched improvisations, and dynamic bandleading. His influence can be heard in generations of organists who followed, and his recordings remain essential listening nearly a century after his birth.

This special centennial tribute is led by acclaimed New York organist Pat Bianchi and features special guest drummer Byron "Wookie" Landham, joined by tenor saxophonist Cory Weeds and guitarist John Lee. Together, they celebrate the music, spirit, and lasting legacy of an artist whose impact on jazz is far greater than his name recognition might suggest.
