THOMAS MARRIOTT QUARTET

Trumpeter Thomas Marriott is a force for Jazz on the west coast. He's been named a "Jazz Hero" by the Jazz Journalist Association of America, is the youngest inductee into the Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame, winner of the Carmine Caruso Jazz Trumpet Competition, and has paid dues with artist like Maynard Ferguson, Ernie Watts, Stix Hooper, Roger Humphries, Joe Locke, Steve Wilson, Charlie Hunter, John Clayton, Julian Priester, Mike Clark, Kurt Elling, Ernestine Anderson, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Roy McCurdy, Ritchie Cole, Rosemary Clooney, George Cables and scores of others. His albums, 16 in all, have been featured in Downbeat, Jazz Times, NPR, The New York Times, and have been number one on the JazzWeek airplay chart. His quartet includes rising star Maria Marmarou on drums from New York, as well as Vancouver favorites Tilden Webb on piano and John Lee on bass
