MOTHERS DAY WITH ARMI GRANO

Armi Grano has often been compared to the late song stylist, Nancy Wilson for her uncanny similarity in style and tone. For the first time in her long music career, both in Canada and Asia, Armi is doing a show to interpret some of Ms. Wilson’s popular songs. A member of the Vancouver jazz scene for over 2 decades, Armi has played with the city’s best musicians in various clubs, festivals and restaurants. In 2009, Armi opened Encore Restaurant and Jazz Lounge near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where she performed in the last 15 years on most nights during the winter/spring season with musicians from the USA, Canada and Mexico. Joining her at Frankie’s are Miles Black on piano, Conrad Good on bass and Arvind Ramdas on drums.
