Noedy Hechavarria Duharte comes from Santiago de Cuba, a city Cubans affectionately call “the warm land.” Noedy established himself as a unique and original upcoming jazz musician on the West Coast of Canada. He composes original music described as highly poetic and complex with strong harmonies. His music is influenced by contemporary jazz music, Afro-Cuban, and Latin rhythms. Noedy is accompanied by Juno nominee Cuban pianist Rafael Zaldivar, Cuban trumpet player Alexander Brown, Jonathan-Guillaume Boudreau at the bass and Hans Verhoeven at the drums.
