

Gabriel Mark Hasselbach Arrives at Frankie’s March 28 with his crack band and will feature rising vocal star Deborah Carter. Gabriel is a succinct and lyrical trumpeter, flugelhornist, and flautist, with mad skills in the contemporary and classic jazz fields, with 20 critically acclaimed albums under his name, plus 11 certified Contemporary Jazz Billboard hits, 3 JazzWeek hits, a JUNO Award, JUNO/Technics Allstar Band Award (2 years running), the West Coast Music Award, plus the 2011 Canadian Smooth Jazz ‘Album of the Year’ award for Told Ya So, and ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ award the same year. He was nominated for the Jazz Music Awards Best Contemporary Album in Atlanta in 2022 (for Tongue&Groove), and has performed at festivals all over the world, including Switzerland (Montreux), Portugal (Algarve), The Hague (North Sea), Mexico (San Pancho), Japan (JVC), Johannesburg (International Music Fest), Catalina (JazzTrax), and a month long residency at the 2008 Beijing Olympics ……. and has even performed in the home of Bill Gates. He has performed and/or recorded with well-known jazz artists such as the late Chuck Loeb, Jeff Lorber, Paul Brown, Paul Hardcastle, Bob James, the late Larry Coryell, Bob Baldwin, Marc Antoine, Greg Manning, Darren Rahn, Warren Hill, Rob Tardik, Rock Hendricks, Tony Saunders, Bob Mintzer, Jeremy Monteiro, Ernie Watts, as well as pop icons such as Gino Vanelli, John Denver, Little Richard, and Michael Bublé (having recorded several albums with him).
