Bassist and composer William Chernoff's quartet, as heard on his first album AIM TO STAY, plays all-original "refreshingly accessible music" (All About Jazz). Will draws influence from the sensitive, crossover sounds of ECM Records, but his tunes keep strong roots in the mainstream swinging tradition.
