MIKE LEDONNE GROOVER QUARTET

Mike LeDonne is a badass! Marc Myers of JazzWax said it! According to him he thought of five different ways to say this more elegantly but kept coming back to the same phrase. LeDonne is a journeymen that has been around honing and plying his craft for years and it shows in his complete mastery of the complex piece of electro-mechanical equipment known as the Hammond B3. Mike's Groover Quartet have been playing a regularly for 25+ years including a weekly residency for at the upper west side jazz haunt Smoke Supper Club. The quartet released 9 records of Savant Records before heading over to Cellar Music where he released the incredible Wonderful! album featuring a gospel choir.
