The Anthony Stanco Ensemble comes to Frankie's Jazz Club to celebrate his latest release on Origin Records, In the Groove: Live at the Alluvion. These performances will feature original compositions from the album along with fresh takes on select material, all delivered with the energy and spontaneity of a true live recording. Known for his vibrant sound and engaging stage presence, Stanco brings a swinging, high-spirited set that connects directly with the audience. Don’t miss this exciting night of live jazz. With Jocelyn Gould -guitar, Luis Rudner - bass and Nicholas Bracewell - drums Anthony Stanco, a trumpet virtuoso from Southeast Michigan, emerged from Detroit's musical legacy, mentored by Marcus Belgrave and Rodney Whitaker. He honed his craft at the Manhattan School of Music before returning to Michigan State University, where he clinched first place in the 2013 International Trumpet Guild's Jazz Improvisation Competition.
