Quatuor André Lachance features Brad Turner on Fender Rhodes and piano, Chris Gestrin on Moog synthesizer bass, Trent Otter on drums and André Lachance on guitar and compositions. These musicians have been playing, recording and touring together for over 27 years in eachother’s groups on various instruments and in other formations. They have been regularlyfeatured in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and in many other performances in West Coast venues over the years. In 2017 the group released their first album ‘The Orange Challenge’. It was nominated for “Best Jazz Artist” at the Western Canada Music Awards. In 2022 they released of their second album “Après L’Hiver”. The group’s approach is eclectic, electric, improvised and interactive and draws from their collective experiences in acoustic and electric modern jazz as well as progressive rock, pop, improvised music and ambient electronic textures. They explore a wide range of instrumental music with a jazz improviser’s spirit.
