BIG BAND MONDAYS: VCC BIGGER BAND and NARWAHL

Led by John Korsrud, Vancouver Community College Bigger Band is a 10-piece ensemble that specializes in repertoire composed by its members. Music ranges from funk to modern jazz. Led by Jared Burrows, Narwhal is a large ensemble in Capilano University's Jazz Studies program. The group combines multiple voices, horns, and rhythm section. Narwhal explores fusions between jazz and music from many genres and cultures as well as student compositions and arrangements.
