It’s the spring 2025 edition of Karin and the Clarinet Extravaganza at Frankie’s Jazz Club! Last October vocalist Karin Plato and the ensemble performed in this format to an exuberant Frankie’s audience. Karin’s fascination with the sounds of the bass clarinet and the Bb clarinet (the clarinet most people are familiar with) inspired her to arrange several songs to showcase the harmonious and rich sounds of those two instruments in connection with her alto-timbred voice. The repertoire will include several well-known jazz standards, some lesser-known songs as well as some KP original material.
