Daniel Cohen is an award-winning jazz saxophonist, woodwind doubler, composer, arranger, and educator based in New York City, currently pursuing his studies at The Juilliard School. He has achieved first place in multiple prestigious competitions, including the Vandoren Emerging Artist, Carinthia Saxophone Competition, Jim Widner Competition, Kfar Saba Wind Competition, and the Rostov International Jazz Competition. Cohen has collaborated with renowned jazz musicians such as Kenny Washington, Ted Nash, Herlin Riley, and Eric Alexander, and has performed at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, New York City Center, Rose Hall at Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, and the Red Sea Jazz Festival. His achievements have been recognized through various scholarships, including those from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the Canada-Israel Foundation, Tzfonot Tarbut, Ran Baron, and the Jim Widner Scholarship. In recent years, Cohen has expanded his musical repertoire by incorporating classical music influences, further enriching his unique style, which remains deeply rooted in the jazz tradition.
