

Ilhan Saferali is a Canadian musician currently based out of New York City. After making a name for himself as a promising young talent on the Vancouver Jazz scene in his late teens, Ilhan moved to New York City to study Jazz performance at The New School and develop his professional/artistic career. Ilhan is a trumpet player, pianist and composer who has worked and studied with many notable greats such as Reggie Workman, Buster Williams, Emmet Cohen, Jean Michel-Pilc, Jimmy Owens, Allison Miller, and many more. While in New York, Ilhan has had opportunities to share the stage with jazz legends such as George Coleman, Johnny O’Neal, Joe Farnsworth, Joe Magnarelli, Benny Benack amongst others. Ilhan will bring a quintet to Frankie’s featuring Steve Kaltestad on saxophone, Miles Black on piano, Dan Howard on bass and Montreal-based Jacob Wutzke on drums.
