Guitarist Patrick Kao leads his new Organtet, a soulful and blues-driven jazz group featuring his mentor John Lee on Hammond organ, Cory Weeds on saxophone, and Nicholas Bracewell on drums. Inspired by the sounds of Shirley Scott and Duke Pearson, the band delivers swinging grooves, clever arrangements, and warm interplay. Patrick’s playing reflects his studies with Pasquale Grasso and Peter Bernstein in New York, blending bebop sophistication with deep blues feeling.
