ARDESHIR QUINTET plays FREDDIE HUBBARD Cover

Saxophonist Ardeshir Pourkeramati presents a special tribute to the legendary Freddie Hubbard, honoring the trumpet icon’s lasting impact on modern jazz. Currently based in Vancouver, BC, Ardeshir has worked across different jazz idioms, from hard bop to jazz fusion. An alumnus of USC’s Thornton School of Music, his sound and adventurous spirit make him a compelling presence in the jazz scene. Ardeshir's debut record will be released under the Cellar Music label in the summer of 2026. Joining Ardeshir for this special occasion is an all-star lineup of mentors and longtime musical influences: Brad Turner on trumpet, Chris Gestrin on piano, André Lachance on bass, and Joe Poole on drums. Together, the band explores music from across Hubbard’s career.
